I didn't really take screenshots while doing this piece, since I didn't have that much time. So here are some details and how I worked some of the things out.

First, I found some images that can work as a referance.
I found pictures here and there, and made a collage, played around with it until I was satisfied with the composition.

Next, opened up a new layer, lowered the opacity of the collage (picture above), then traced over it.
I've completed the missing bits from imagination, changed the face to suit the Odin in my mind. Then I've added some extra things like Sleipnir's reigns and the feathers on the helmet.
All the battle accesories, such as the helmet and the armor, I used referances. But instead of tracing, I drew looking at them and altered them to fit my drawing.

After cleaning up the lineart, I started coloring. I color almost everything on seperate layers, which prevents me from causing horrible mistakes :)
